Certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing

Prepares students with necessary skills for print or web-based employment in professional writing, editing, design and other publishing positions. Subject areas include screenwriting, non-fiction and writing for children.

Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing

You will learn skills that will prepare you for: professional writing; editing; design; and other publishing positions, print or web-based. You could also go on to further study in writing and editing, either at NMIT or another institution. There is a practical placement in the industry as part of the course. Students attain the Certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing after the first year of study.

Associate Degree of Writing and Publishing

The associate degree constitutes the first two years of the Bachelor of Writing and Publishing. Employment possibilities include: professional writing, editing and design. Gain skills and knowledge in fiction and non-fiction writing, as well as editing and proofreading. You can also complete a third year to complete the bachelor degree.
